Standing Spruce Farm & Apothecary is an "authentic indigenous wellness brand Combining old world medicine and traditional practices".  Lesley Assu, owner & founder, wanted to take her small business to the next level - to put together a cohesive brand for her products to eventually sell online and in stores across Canada. She now has her own brick & mortar shop in Campbell River, BC and has big plans to take the company even further.

Lesley Assu: "Traditionally raised in both Haida Gwaii and in my father's community of the We Wai Kai, I developed deep roots to the land and sea. My passion of traditional medicine expands outside of the business; it’s my entirety, and is a practice shared with my family and communities." Recently we completed a brand update to celebrate and create focus around Lesley's indigenous heritage; bringing in key elements such as her family's crest, a "100% Indigenous Made Products" badge and including more of the Haida language in her products and packaging.
